The mission of OASPA is to support and represent the interests of Open Access (OA) journal and book publishers globally in all scientific, technical, and scholarly disciplines. This mission will be carried out through exchanging information, setting standards, advancing models, advocacy, education, and the promotion of innovation. The OASPA blog will serve as an important forum for discussing important issues related to Open Access publishing, and will regularly feature posts from guest authors. Digital Commons is McMaster University’s "Institutional Repository" or IR. The purpose of an IR is to bring together all of a University's research under one umbrella, with an aim to preserve and provide access to that research. Digital Commons is a service provided by McMaster University libraries, in conjunction with other campus partners. The research and scholarly output included in Digital Commons has been selected and deposited by the individual university departments and Centre’s on campus.
IRs is an excellent vehicle for working papers or copies of published articles and conference papers. Presentations, senior theses, and other works not published elsewhere can also be published in the IR.
